About us

We’re a highly collaborative and supportive team, coming together on every project to ensure our clients get the very best result

Our story

In 1984, two brothers, Dan and Tim Murphy created Fugen Masonry Contractors. Through high production standards and the dedication of the team, Fugen has grown into one of the top masonry contracting businesses in Australia.

Fugen has maintained its growth by consistently exceeding the expectations of a strong base of clients. Its areas of operation include commercial high-rise, shopping centres, high-rise residential, Government projects (schools, universities & hospitals) and sporting facilities.

Our philosophy

Fugen’s philosophy is simple: deliver a first-class service to major building contractors and developers on the basis of good client relationships, teamwork, commitment and quality.

Fugen aims to develop strategic relationships with its clients, consultants, sub-contractors and suppliers.

The company works closely with all clients to develop project partnerships with both directors being personally involved in each of our projects.

Directors

Dan and Tim Murphy are the founding directors of Fugen. They bring to the company the benefit of over 38 years’ experience in the construction industry respectively. Both are actively involved in client relations, financial reporting and administration.

Meet Our Team

Our project teams are committed to helping our clients meet their business goals through disciplined and problem-free construction of our projects. As committed business partners, we understand the construction project itself is a means to an end, yet ultimately, it is the client mission that is the focus of our team.

Industrial Relations

Fugen has a proven record for maintaining good industrial relations. One of the keys to our proactive IR approach is the regular process of consultation between employees and management discussing current and pending issues, including safety, programming, materials handling, access and site accommodation.

Any disputes that arise are resolved at site level by the supervisor and Operations Manager.
